Florence Welch

Florence Welch, one of the most inspiring voices I have in my life. I have had Florence and the Machine on non-stop for the past year and a half, she makes me feel amazing whilst belting out my god awful voice in my car, not exactly saying the right words since they all blend together. I think we would just be the best of friends if we met, she seems like such a fun free spirit, but still has her shit together:)She makes me want to run into a field (with an amazing flowing cape or dress), spin in circles, pick daisies, while abstractly splatter painting on a canvas...Your thoughts: "Excuse me what? Kayla just got weirder than we thought and I thought she was pretty weird"

Needless to say her style is beyond amazing, I love that she wears whatever she wants all the time, and it always so true to her self (because I know her we chat alllllll the time)

New Fall Additions

Two of my new favorite additions to my closet.

Karen Walker Super Duper Strength.

I have not taken these off my face since I walked out of Steven Alan, I am in a very serious relationship.

Alexander Wang Ashley boot.

I caved after I took my Anouck beatle boot to the cobbler, and he warned me that I do not have much time left with them (what I have only worn them every single day for a year and a half) I went to the Wang store and saw these, "oh i'll just try them on" the salesman informed me they were the last pair, "ugh let me think about this for .2 seconds. sold."

ChildhoodBlankets

Forever 21 headband, Wilfred Scarf, Talula black tee, Wilfred pants, belt I have had since 5th grade, Moon Raven Design necklace, random rings and bracelets, Vera Wang Roslyn Wedge, and nail polish is Pillar Box Red by Butter London

As a child I had one pink blanket that I was inseparable with, from a young age my parents knew it would be a problem to wean me from. There was always jokes that I would go to college with it, I would take it on my first date, yadda yadda yadda....well i still have it and yes I still sleep with it! Deal....I know it is not socially acceptable for a 24 year old to walk around with a blanket all the time, but I think I found the loop hole with this huge scarf that wear ALL THE TIME! It is my hood, scarf, rain jacket, cape, favorite traveling companion, you name it this scarf/blanket is it.

Another example of AJ Ragasa's phenom photography....I can't say enough thank you's to show my gratitude, and appreciation!

check out his blog, and website and tell him how great he is!

Shannon Koszyk

As many know I get easily attached to certain jewels of mine, and wear them non stop until they fall apart, or i lose them (usually losing comes first). Or in another case when your mother and friend conspire to rid you of an amazing moonstone quartz ring, in Val's words was a "jelly nasty blob on your finger"...I am still mad about it, and they still admit they had nothing to do with it.

Anyways, I do not find many pieces of jewelery I cannot live without, until now....

I had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful Shannon Koszyk and immediately started ogling over her amazing rosary beads, bracelets and chunky rings she was sporting. Needless to say I went home to see what other mind blowing pieces she had available on her website . I have never seen so much jewelry that I wanted to incorporate into my everyday wear, it was over whelming. It is all handmade, and has that old world, gaudy feel, without finding yourself thinking of a bad Ed Hardy-Affliction-skull-rose-rockneverdies-angelwing-angryman t-shirt. Above are the pieces I am saving my pennies for, except the chandelier which I would hang in my house in a heartbeat, but until i strike it rich...i just don't see that happening in my budget anytime soon. In the mean time I will just keep the picture as my background to lust over.
Shannon uses, "religious icons, vintage coins, heavy Sterling chain, fresh water pearls, semi-precious hand cut stones and handmade African beads [to create] a timeless yet contemporary explanation of where we've been, where we are and what we are trying to say..."

HannahMarshall

London Designer Hannah Marshall via StyleLikeU

Black on Black is one of the most classic, strong, and down-right-amazing combo's there is. Mixing the textures of leather, and chiffon, opaque, sheer is beyond..... then add her power-bitch bangs, and eye brows! This girl can pull it off...

don't forget to check her ring in the second image.

BCG

t shirt: Club Monaco, leather pants: Topshop, loafers: Stubbs and Wootton

BCG- Birth control Glasses
it is funny that she brings this up because in NY my friends and I realized to keep the creepy guys away late at night on the subway, we would just wear glasses and suddenly we were invisible! Great trick!
booties- Proenza Schouler

from one of my favorite blogs, the Man Repeller, I love these looks at her descriptions!

I want this Veda Jacket! Veda was one of my favorite stores on the LES, I would find myself wondering through once a week chatting with the girls lusting over all of the denim/leather combos and then leaving empty handed. I should have invested! Yes that's right it is an investment (although I do not seem to making much return...).

AboveThePark

I am a sucker and purchased this RZ Vest about a year ago....yes on QVC I know! It is embarassing! Really goes to show that I am 72 years old on the inside. Regardless, I LOVE IT! I wear it all year round, and yes I get made fun of everytime I wear it for ordering it off QVC, it doesn't matter because it goes with anything I throw on. This Topshop Blouse is one of those items in my closet I find myself wearing at least 3 times a week hoping no one will notice.

I moved into my new cottage in Seward Park so I have been busy decorating, and finally getting to put my own touch on my OWN place! I have moved far too many times in the last few years, it feels amazing to be able to invest time, and energy to make it feel like a home. My mom was visiting last week, so we were shopping all over seattle to find the perfect pieces to furnish my home.. THANKS MOM! pictures to come :)

obviously photos are by the one, the only AJ Ragasa! check out amazing photographers blog!
PS love the quote on his website "...I want to make beautiful things, even if nobody cares." -Saul Bass

shred it to white walls

self ripped and detailed t shirt (inquire within they are for sale!), LF Leather Jacket, Karen Walker Number 1 sunnies, Jeffrey Campbell Tube 2, moon raven deign necklace, rings: Low LuvxErin Wasson, Forver 21 swan, tiffany knot ring, and black random find

It has been way too long since I posted an Adrian x Kayla shoot! To be perfectly honest every time I went to post it, I would get all too overwhelmed at how many phenomenal choices AJ gave me, that I would put it off!! Not a bad problem to have, if only I wasn't one of the most indecisive characters....

I do not wear this jacket as much as I should, I find myself putting it on and walking around my house playing with the fringe and then taking it off before I leave. It has that amazing Woodstock 70's vibe, sometimes I feel like everything I wear is so 70's inspired that I would look like I just walked off the set of a movie if I added this jacket to the maxi skirt, flowing tops and clogs. I started ripping shirts out of pure boredom and now i can't stop! it is just such an interesting element to add to a boring T-shirt, my next move is to add american flag patches to the shoulders.
